Au Revoir, Monsieur Marceau.

A mime performance; part contemporary, part modern, all rooted in the legacy of The Professor. Will there be a future Marceau? Perhaps not, but the classical element will reincarnate itself in those who genuinely understand that mime is a complexing art of poetic movement. Capturing so much in so little, Monsieur Marceau gave so much for so many.

from which all that has been learned,
from where all that has been taught,
and by the magic of movement;
the master's silence has been shattered by such clarity of unspoken words.
le professeur est tres magnifique!

stillness is a shadow,
blanketing life's stage when a curtain closes,
and only when the stranger becomes us then do we truly mourn;
the master's hand has been embraced by such tenderness of unseen caresses.
le professeur est tres magnifique!

a single tear if not a flood of pain,
filling a lifetime's work which can be better felt then intangibly understood,
and then the triumphant tragedy of existence is gone when such stars dim and fade;
the master's smile has been painted across a universal canvas of future prodigies.
le professeur est tres magnifique!

Au revoir, mon ami.
